The real deal narrow loomed Bleeding Madras. A few months ago I was approached by Lewis, formerly of Leith clothing. He sent me some pictures of this cloth and as soon as I seen it I knew I had to have it! Around 10 years ago Lewis and his business partner Guy had this cloth woven in India. They went to great lengths to get it just right - so much so that it now sits in the Harris collections ledger books alongside its mid-century counter parts. 100% authentic in design and manufacture, this stuff is so bloody special. The yarns are dyed using natural dyes which cause the cloth to fade gradually over time. It won’t wash out on its first wash, don’t worry. We’re talking a very subtle fade over years and years of wear. But bare in mind if you’re not prepared to appreciate the fade then this cloth isn’t for you! Due to the handwoven nature of this fabric some irregularities and slubbiness may occur. These all form the unique character of madras and are to be celebrated. Featuring: Six button front.
